The Dutch Venue Association sets high standards for its members, which ensures that DVA member venues meet strict standards. We check each venue against a thorough checklist. Final certification is carefully monitored by DVA's independent chairman to ensure the highest quality standards.
At DVA locations, safety is a priority. All members comply with applicable legal requirements such as ARBO, RI&E and BHV. They prepare up-to-date risk inventories and plans of action, which are regularly checked according to the guidelines of the labor inspection. In addition, the locations have all the necessary permits, such as the Drank- en Horeca license, and they work according to HACCP standards or a recognized hygiene code for food safety or it is ensured that its engaged supplier works according to the HACCP standards or a recognized hygiene code for food safety. With well-organized in-house emergency response (BHV) and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, they ensure a safe working environment. Thus, DVA locations guarantee safety and quality for both guests and employees.
DVA locations combine hospitality with sustainability and social responsibility. They invest in well-trained staff, offer opportunities as learning companies and provide an inclusive working environment with fair pay. Each location contributes to a better future by preventing food waste, sustainably managing waste and making conscious choices in energy and purchasing, among other things. With support for "Changing Together in the Hospitality Industry" and participation in workshops, they continue to develop as socially responsible entrepreneurs.
All DVA venues are assessed annually for the solvency of their business and must achieve a minimum score that allows them to meet their financial obligations. In addition, all DVA venues have taken out the insurance policies commonly used in the industry and offer the client the option of event insurance.
At DVA locations, agreements are set forth clearly and transparently. This includes payment terms, rates, changes, costs and house rules. Venues use the DVA delivery and cancellation conditions and have a clear price list for room rental, additional services and culinary care. In addition, house rules provide clear guidelines. Invoices provide full insight into the cost of services, including recharged and deductible VAT. This creates a streamlined and transparent collaboration.
In case of unforeseen circumstances or calamities which prevent the event from taking place, or not in the same form, at the DVA location in question, every effort will be made within the network to arrange a suitable alternative (DVA) location, so that the agreement can still be fulfilled. Thus DVA locations offer the client the greatest possible security and continuity.
